This is the community that raised Adam. It's where he took his first steps, learned how to drive, and graduated from high school. Adam is running for mayor to serve the people and place he calls home.

From Oregon City High School to the Oregon City Commission
The son of an electrician and a nurse, Adam never planned to run for local office, and his path to City Hall was anything but conventional. In the summer of 2020, he was tapped to manage the grassroots campaign to recall the mayor. Following the successful recall, he was unanimously appointed to fill a vacancy on the City Commission. At age 20, Adam was sworn in on his last day of classes prior to graduating from Willamette University, becoming the youngest person to hold elected office in Oregon at the time. In 2022, voters elected him to a full four-year term on the City Commission.

In his professional career, Adam works in government relations for the Oregon Department of Land Conservation and Development, where he focuses on the intersection of land use, housing, and economic development. Prior to that, Adam spent six sessions in the Oregon State Legislature, advancing from intern to legislative assistant to policy analyst. Outside of work and volunteering on the City Commission, Adam performs in a community wind ensemble and teaches Sunday school at his church.

In addition to crafting the city budget, this body determines city property tax rates. Adam has consistently opposed tax increases while leading the adoption of a balanced budget.

The URC is focused on the redevelopment of underutilized public property to achieve our economic development and housing goals.
League of Oregon Cities Board of Directors

Adam was elected by his fellow city councilors and mayors from across the state to represent them on the LOC Board and advocate for cities at the state and federal levels.
Clackamas County Coordinating Committee

This committee brings together local elected officials from across the county to coordinate on land use and transportation issues facing the region. Adam co-chaired the subcommittee specifically focused on responding to the threat of tolling.

The CIC is comprised of representatives from active neighborhood associations. Adam first got involved locally as a grassroots leader, and now he works with the CIC to keep residents informed and engaged.

Creating the YAC is one of Adam's proudest accomplishments. In this role, Adam works with local high school students to increase civic engagement and advance priorities affecting youth.
