a city we can afford
In his role as chair of the city's budget committee, Adam has consistently opposed property tax increases and has advocated for reduced residential utility fees. He is leading efforts to encourage the development of starter homes, which will help young families achieve homeownership and give seniors more opportunities to age in place. Adam has worked to hold private utility companies accountable and will ensure ratepayers have a strong advocate in City Hall. He proposed a data center moratorium to ensure the city has strong protections in place that prioritize living-wage jobs on our remaining employment land.
Being the First City means that our community has significant infrastructure needs that have been deferred for too long. Adam was proud to have secured $4 million in federal funding to improve local roadways and stretch our tax dollars further by partnering with our congressional delegation. As mayor, he'll prioritize fixing potholes and creating safe routes to school. When the Oregon Department of Transportation requested an additional five years to complete the Abernethy Bridge project, Adam ensured that local transportation projects relying on ODOT's cooperation moved to the front of the line in return. He was proud to lead the fight against tolling, and he stands ready to do it again if it ever comes back.

A government’s first job is to keep people safe. Adam recognizes that effective public safety requires a comprehensive approach. That's why he has prioritized police funding, invested in behavioral health, and supported programs addressing youth substance abuse. As mayor, he’ll lead with accountability and compassion on regional efforts to address homelessness by connecting people with services, scrutinizing taxpayer-funded projects, and keeping our public spaces clean and welcoming for everyone.
accessible parks and library services
Many of the parks Adam enjoyed as a child have gone without needed improvements for years. Adam will prioritize investments in our parks, ensuring they are safe and enjoyable for everyone. As the city determines future upgrades to the pool and the End of the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center, he'll champion community involvement to ensure these facilities meet the needs of residents. Adam brought back OC's Independence Day celebration because he believes the strongest communities are built by bringing people together. That's why he'll expand community events and continue supporting the library as a hub for literacy and lifelong learning.
thriving small businesses
A vibrant city is built on the strength of its small businesses. Adam is committed to creating an environment where businesses can grow and thrive by reducing bureaucratic red tape and supporting the city's small business grant programs. As mayor, he'll prioritize family-wage jobs that allow residents to build their careers right here in Oregon City. Adam will strengthen the vitality of historic Main Street by addressing parking limitations, supporting the creation of new murals, and working with the tribe to bring the riverwalk to fruition. He'll continue pushing for tax and zoning incentives that will diversify commercial and retail options along the Molalla Avenue/7th Street corridor.
responsive government
Adam believes that government works best when residents are informed and engaged. As the City Commission's liaison to the Citizen Involvement Committee for the last five years, Adam has worked with neighborhood leaders to strengthen public participation in local government. He created the city's Youth Advisory Commission to give students a voice in the decisions that will impact the city they inherit, and as mayor, he'll lead with accessibility and transparency in response to the needs of Oregon City residents.
resilient infrastructure
In just the last few years, wildfires, floods, and ice storms have put our infrastructure to the test. With growing cybersecurity threats and the eventual Cascadia earthquake, Adam knows that investing in resilient infrastructure—both digital and physical—is essential to protecting our community. He'll work with public and private partners to ensure Oregon City is ready to respond when disaster strikes. As our city grows, Adam will continue to advocate for smart, sustainable development that respects our small-town character and keeps pace with the capacity of our roads, utilities, and other critical infrastructure.
