a city we can afford
As chair of the city's budget committee, Adam has consistently opposed property tax increases while ensuring essential city services remain a priority. He is leading efforts to encourage the development of starter homes, which will help young families achieve homeownership and give seniors more opportunities to age in place. Adam has worked to hold private utility companies accountable and will ensure ratepayers have a strong advocate in City Hall.
As Oregon's First City, our community has significant infrastructure needs that have been deferred for too long. Adam was proud to have secured $4 million in federal funding to improve local roadways and stretch our tax dollars further by partnering with our congressional delegation. As mayor, he'll prioritize fixing potholes and creating safe routes to school. When ODOT requested an additional five years to complete the Abernethy Bridge project, Adam ensured that local transportation projects relying on ODOT's cooperation moved to the front of the line in return.

Whether it's prioritizing public safety funding, investing in behavioral health, or serving on the city's Youth Opioid Prevention Grant Committee to support programs combating the opioid crisis, Adam has worked hard to make our community safer. As mayor, he'll continue to lead with compassion and accountability on regional solutions to the homelessness crisis by connecting individuals with services and keeping our public spaces clean and welcoming for all.
accessible parks and library services
Many of the parks Adam enjoyed as a child have gone without needed improvements for years. Adam will prioritize investments in our parks, ensuring they are safe and enjoyable for everyone. He brought back OC's Independence Day celebration because he believes the strongest communities are built by bringing people together. That's why he'll expand community events, champion public involvement in determining the future of the pool, and support the library as a hub for literacy and lifelong learning.

A vibrant city is built on the strength of its small businesses. Adam is committed to reducing bureaucratic and financial barriers for entrepreneurs while creating an environment where businesses can grow and thrive. As mayor, he'll prioritize family-wage jobs that allow residents to build their careers right here in Oregon City. Adam will work with tribal partners to bring the riverwalk to fruition and strengthen the vitality of our historic Main Street. He'll continue pushing for incentives that diversify commercial opportunities along the Molalla Avenue/7th Street corridor.

As the City Commission's liaison to the Citizen Involvement Committee for the last five years, Adam has worked with neighborhood leaders to strengthen public participation in local government. He created the city's Youth Advisory Commission to give students a voice in the decisions that will impact the city they inherit, and as mayor, he'll lead with accessibility and transparency in response to the needs of Oregon City residents.

In just the last few years, wildfires, floods, and ice storms have put our infrastructure to the test. With growing cybersecurity threats and the eventual Cascadia earthquake, Adam knows that investing in resilient infrastructure—both digital and physical—is essential to protecting our community. He will work with public and private partners to ensure Oregon City is ready to respond when disaster strikes, and as our city grows, Adam will continue to advocate for smart, sustainable development that respects our small-town character and keeps pace with the capacity of our roads, utilities, and other critical infrastructure.
